Being More Nomadic
For the past year, I’ve been deeply rooted in Northern California and San Francisco—building companies, meeting people, and getting immersed in the startup world. It was an incredible time of growth, learning, and forming meaningful connections. I’ve learned so much about how I want to build things, how I want to engage with friends, and what really matters to me.
But as 2025 begins, I’ve realized that I don’t want to be tied to one place. My friends are spread across the world—New York, the Middle East, Asia, and, of course, San Francisco. And with the way my life is structured right now, mobility makes the most sense. I want to be where I need to be, physically, at any given moment. And digitally, I want to be present everywhere.
Over the past few weeks, I took a big step toward that. I got rid of my apartment, let go of most of my stuff, packed up my car, and hit the road. Right now, I’m road-tripping through the West, eventually making my way East to visit friends in New York. I don’t have a strict plan—I’m just going where it makes sense, when it makes sense.
This shift isn’t about leaving behind San Francisco, or the relationships I built there. Those relationships aren’t going anywhere. If anything, this is just an evolution of how I live and work. My time in SF was formative. It shaped me, changed me, and gave me clarity on what I want. And now, it feels like the right moment to move on—to embrace a more fluid, dynamic way of living.
I’m also in a place where I’ve been thinking a lot about crypto and just where I see myself in that industry. A lot of fucked up stuff has happened, and I’m committed to seeing higherrrrrrr through, but also want to be cognizant of how it has the potential to harm others. It’s a good moment for reflection for me.
