Just reviving this because I think it’s cool part of crypto history. Super simple, some crypto bros decided to sell socks to “launder dirty money“ (LOL).
Each token was redeemable for a pair, and they’re currently priced at 11k. It was the foundation for much of what we know today in meme coin trading (first time I’ve seen something priced on a bonding curve just for lol’s).
I still think this is a cool idea, dynamically priced physical goods are quite useful for content creators and influencers when you don’t know how much limited swag should be sold for. What made me think of it was the Zora token drop upcoming. Their first project, Saint Fame, was probably my genesis for considering this idea. It’s pretty cool.
I’m no longer sure they should be tokens. Maybe. Or maybe someone should just build a Shopify plugin.
